3M Perfect-It III Machine Glaze for non-clear coated cars?

Has anyone used 3M's PI-3 MG for single stage paint jobs? Since I've already got it on the shelf, I'd like to use it on a job I have coming up this weekend. The paint on the car is in pretty decent shape, with a little bit of oxidation and a few light scratches. It's a '72 Trans Am that's been repainted, though oddly enough, the owner didn't repaint with clear coat. I'll be applying it with my trusty PC7424.

Or, I'm open to other suggestions as well. The great majority of my detail jobs are all on cars that have clear coat, so I'm not quite sure whether this product will work the way I want it to.

Thanks,

I have use it on both clear and non-clear coat finishes with the same great results. The only differance is that your pads will be picking up the paint color now.

I found that soaking mine in a solution of Dawn for 20-30 minutes than rinse them out, brings them back to normal.
