3M IHG before Zaino (Z2-PRO)?

There are too many oils in 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. Therefore, it will compromise the bonding of Z2-PRO. It is recommended that a Dawn wash be done prior to applying Z1 or ZFX to remove any wax or oils so you have a nice clean surface to work with. I would recommend a SMR or ZPC to remove swirls. The key is to get the paint squeaky clean prior to doing the Zaino application (Z1 or ZFX, Z2-PRO, Z5 etc...)

Zaino will not bond on top of IHG. Tooooo much oil.
Polish out the surface blemishes would be the way to go before any LSP for the best finish appearance.
If you use an oil-containing polish to achieve this blemish-free finish, just wash or do an IPA wipedown prior to applying Zaino.
Z5 is very effective in filling very minor surface marring but it will not correct a "train-wrecked" finish.
If your surface requires a glazing product like IHG, you are better off topping with a wax and plan to do this glaze/wax process every few weeks to maintain this "appearance" of a swirl-free vehicle.

IHG is used mainly for spots missed by using the ro or pc while using 3M machine Glaze. Zaino is best applied on polished surfaces not glazed surfaces.

Anyway 3M machine Glaze (I call it candy glaze) which is a heavy duty glaze in a true since of the word “glaze� that leaves a semi nice finish of glaze. It’s mostly used by dealerships (that is round here it is) for fast detailing jobs. 3MPIIIMG covers up swirls, scratches & defects and after a couple of washings the glaze gets washed away and the car buyer wonders where all the swirls, scratches & defects came from :think: :think: :think: Poor used car buyers thinking that they bought a nice beautiful car and after the Candy Glaze is gone it looks like crap! They just don't understand nor do they question where the swirls, scratches & defects came from. Because it takes some time for the Candy Glaze to wash away and they think they caused the defects. And car Dealers are not going to say you have to keep a sealer or wax over it because swirls, scratches & defects will become visible.
Note: On beat up old wreckers cars Candy Glaze would be feasible to use, not worth polishing.

If you properly prep your surface you wont need a glaze and the zaino system will shine! :dance
