I recently bought a bottle of 3m finesse it II finishing material supposedly to use as a hologram remover with my makita on an 06 black jetta. The directions say to use light to medium pressure and then get lighter and lighter as the polish works in, until it fades, so I figured its one of those polishes that you just keep working until it fades and polishes the paint real nicely; however, as i get on the second pass, the polish begins to dry out and splatter like crazy. During the first pass it does not splatter at all and then on the second one it just goes crazy. I cant even get it to fade and polish because it just seems to dry out. I am using setting one on the makita which is 900 rpms. What am I doing wrong??!! the temp outside is like 72 with barely any humidity and I make sure the panel is cool to the touch before I start. I am getting less severe holograms with megs 82 and a white pad than with this product and a white pad.
