The 3M rotary polisher has just become available in the UK and there are very few reviews as of yet. However, it is believed to be based on the Rupes LH18EN that I currently use. The Rupes is a nice lightweight machine at 1.9 Kg., albeit noisy, and handles well due to the compact size and light weight.
Just a guess but I'd imagine 3M would release stateside due to the market potential of another continent.
