3D/HD New Beveled Edge Foam Pads

Introducing the newest foam pad technology introduced to you by 3D/HD Products. These pads feature a beveled edge design for improved balance & longevity. Exclusively manufactured for 3D/HD by Buff & Shine so you will not see these available anywhere else. Currently being offered in 5 & 6 inch sizes in Green (polishing/cutting) & Yellow (cutting), but other colors (Orange, Black, Blue, White & Red) will be making their way shortly.

I've been testing these pads at my high volume shop HD Car Care - Detroit and they are lasting longer than any other foam pad we've used. My team of 10 Detailers have literally beat these pads up on 100's of cars with a variety of machine polishers (see pics below) and I have yet to experience 1 pad failure.

The design of these pads prolong backing plate edge cut through (which is inherent when used with large throw DA polishers) as you can also see in my pictures. They also stay cooler during long buffing sessions which eliminates the center from caving in too. But don't think that these pads are only designed for DA polishing. They work incredibly well with rotary polishers too. The beveled edge give the user better edge control and much smoother buffing. A must try for sure!!

Wonder how they run cooler than the current gen since they dont have any holes in?

The heat gets dissipated through the area that doesn't have a solid backing plate material under it (i.e. the outer edge). We've literally used the pads pictured on over a hundred cars. In many situations our detailers doesn't do a good job of cleaning their pads regularly AND use the same pad on the entire vehicle. This is a disaster for pad abuse. Specifically caving of the center from heat. These pads show ZERO signs of that which is extremely impressive IMHO.

Makes sense, thank you

Dear David

These look nice. I'll be sure to add a few to my next order (if I can afford them).

Hundreds of cars? Wow, you are an ultra-high-volume detailer with lots of opportunities to test.

Makes perfect sense. Often the revolutionary discoveries are the simplest, "why didn't we think of that" scenarios. Another 3D HD exclusive.

Do most people keep Pads until they look like that?
Does a pad like the one shown only get used on wheels at this point?

Could one of the career detailers create another post as to what you wouldn't use on a cars finish anymore. Do they get reassigned for what you use them for as they deteriorate or just keep polishing paint until replaced?

Usually if one gets too chunked up I toss it.

When can we expect them on autogeek/Autopia ?
How do they hold up against the Rupes in terms of machine balance and cut. Is the foam material similar to their prior offerings or is it their Euro foam?

From what I've seen from their other products, months

Cant wait for these to come out
Quick question
Will theae withstand speed 5 and 6 on 21mm throw D/A like rupes/Griot?
I literaly used 6 pads new out package on 1 car and almost all started to separate foam from velcro backing which i think is pretty sad
A Pad should be able to sustain max speed of a polisher..more so when its specficily designed for a longthrow..and perhaps take a lil bit of abuse/neglect. .
These 3D pads do sound like the ticket

Interesting pads. Although judging by the lack of replies here, might be a long time before the pads come out or any pricing is discussed.

We have the same type of pads available on our website. Even the white ultra aggressive pads. But the new shape/design will not be available for a while.

Can you guys maybe not anounce all this stuff so far ahead of actual release? Seems shady to hype it up and not be able to give a release date. Just my opinion
