Finally got around to doing a thorough detail on my 350Z this weekend, plus I got in my AIO and Souvern. Here are some before pics:

Now, I washed with Gold Class, no clar bar I did it about 1.5 months ago. I dried with Big Blue. DACP was first with PC and Orange pad. Next was AIO, then NXT which I let cure overnight. Finally I used Souvern as my final product. Here are some after pics:

I think it turned out pretty well myself, next project my 1996 white Nissan Sentra:cool:

looking good... that reflection shot is SICK... orange peel is minimal.. surprising.. nice car by the way

First off, excellent job, the finish looks great.

I'd also like to hear any input you might have on detailing the front bumper. I've detailed a friend's Z a few times now (which I believe is Silverstone, at least I know it's the darker of the two silvers), and overall it's in excellent shape. However his front bumper seems to get rock knicks like no other. I've used polishing and cutting pads, ssr's 1 & 2, #80 & DACP... and all have achieved less than expected results (I still love all of these products).

I noticed that you used DACP. Have you had any other products for this problem area?

nice job...but shame on ya for letting it get that bad!...but have to admit...slightly jealous of super black...silverstone is nice/easy to maintain...but nuthin' beats a shiny black car!

Looks killer. Black is the best color bar none.

Could probably skip the NXT next time. NXT and AIO are the same type of product, a cleaner and protectant in one.

Yea being a daily drive my front bumper does have alot if knicks starting to show up. Unfortunately being black there nothing I can really do to hide them other than use my touch up paint (which I have and it actually matches good).

I actually plan on buying a new front bumper either stock or some other type, paint it and then swap them out at some point.

:( I know, but living in Louisiana we have had a few back to back bad storms plus we caught the edge of that hurricane. All that combined I didn't have time to detail it good, I am back on top of it now getting a QD bath every afternoon with a planned second coat of Souvern going on this weekend.

what did you apply to wheels/tires? Do you have pics after AIO/NXT but before Souvern ?

I have some pics after AIO/NXT but it's right as it's getting dark so they didn't come out right to compare in the same light. In my opinion NXT gives the car a nice reflective "bright" look. I actually think NXT is a really good product. Souvern on the other hand gives the car that deep, wet, unbelievable reflective look.

I used A2Z to clean the tires and wheels and then I used the Turtle Wax wheel stuff with UV protectant from Wal-mart.

Very impressive. I'm surprised you were able to go directly from an orange pad/DACP to your LSP. I’ve always followed up DACP on orange with DACP or #80 on a polish pad. Maybe not for what I saw but for what I was afraid I didn’t see. But your results speak for themselves. What orange pad did you use, LC or Sonus? Thanks for the pics :xyxthumbs

The door and hood reflection pics are Awesome! On the door, if you couldn't see the door seam, it would like an ordinary pic of the trees. Nice work!

LC pad.

wow, the visual clarity is amazing, and the paint has very little orange peel.

A job well done. Do you find the DACP much more aggressive at removing imperfections, verus #80 on orange pad??
