Last weekend I couldn't stand how cold it was and how dirty my car was getting. So I decided to tackle both at the same time. I bundled up, hooked up the hose, and began detailing the passat. The water was freezing on the ground and it was fun skating around the car to make it gleam...but it was worth it. I also had to move the car a couple of times into the sun b/c my WW towels weren't absorbing the water on the cold metal, just smearing it. It was just too beautiful to work in the garage ya kno? Now I have 6 inches of snow outside. :scared: But i was glad for the one nice day I had last weekend.



Process: TOL Bubbles, PB Spray and Rinse, PB Trim Restore, PB B&B, PB Natty's Blue, WG Vinyl Conditioner (interior), Pinnacle Leather Conditioner.

Like I said, last night we got 6 inches of snow and the Penn Dot trucks are in full effect... :furious: I think i'll be driving the wife's car in the salt-laiden roads while she's away for a coupld of days. :xyxthumbs
 
Man, that looks awesome... The weather here has been teasing me. I want to go do my blue Z28 Camaro, but it's staying juuuuuussstttt below freezing. 31 one day, 30 the next, and nothing warmer in the forecast. :(
 
Glad that you got to detail the vehicle. One forgets, in the warmth of texas, that one cannot always go out and detail. FWIW, it is twent-five degree's as I write this. Chomping at the bit for it to get to 40 degree's by noon so I can go and wipe off the dew and dirt.



Flakes were just a poopin on that car!! :xyxthumbs

:thx . I have to say that in the end it was worth it. The day after the detail, we had about 1 inch of snow. I refused to drive the car until the day after and i was cringing all the way to work. Luckily the car stayed fairly clean and I was able to come home and use some SPray and Wash to clean it up. Again though, it's super hard to use that or anything else wet when it's below 40. Not really hard to use..just hard to dry.



I can say I am done with outside detailing until the spring rolls around. UNLESS, we have some cherry days in January like we'e had some years where it gets above freezing. Then I may be tempted to bust out the polisher in the driveway :buffing:
