303 Protectant on Leather Seats

I started a thread here earlier this week asking for an "all in one" product that would be suitable for vinyl, leather, rubber, plastic and anything else in the car's interior. Some people said 303 Protectant is just such a product. I knew it was suppose to be great on vinyl and rubber but was not aware of it being used as a leather conditioner.

I did a little checking at their website and sure enough, they do recommend it for leather. My Honda has leather seats but some parts, like the back and undersides, are vinyl and it is hard to determine where leather stops and vinyl starts.

I ordered some 303 to try as an "all in one" experiment but I was wondering if anyone here has actually treated their leather seats with this stuff? What were the results and how does it compare to made for leather products such as Lexol?

Should have gotten OCP+ ;) BTW I never tried 303 on leather.

Can't see that 303 will condition leather myself, though it will protect. I would stick to something else meant just for leather though. 1Z leathercare or Z10 for me.

I agree too! Z-10 for me! 303 for the plastic and vinyl.

I love 303 except on leather. Klasse VRLP is better on leather. It's a toss up between the two, 303 looks better to me because it has a little amount of sheen while VRLP is as close to flat as I know. VRLP lasts much longer, though. VRLP doesn't attract dust nor haze up inside of windshield.

Honestly, I feel like your insistance on an all-in-one product will prohibit you from getting the best results possible. I've seen leather which has been treated with products similar to 303 and I definitely prefer the look of leather treated with leather products. It doesn't really matter that your seat is part leather & part vinyl. It is OK and will look just as good to use leather products on the vinyl sections of your seat. That being said, I would use 303 on plastic, rubber, and vinyl but not on leather. I would get a dedicated leather product to use on the leather and the areas which you are not sure about whether they are leather or vinyl. Personally, I'm dying to try the new Poorboy's Leather product. It's a conditioner and cleaner in one.

From what I've read I have to agree. I wanted to try an all in one but in the back of my mind I too felt a dedicated product made just for leather was the best way to go. I have been very happy using Lexol for the leather and Vinylx for just about everything else. I will keep the 303 for rubber, vinyl and plastic and stick with Lexol for leather (I too would like to try the Poorboys new leather conditioner).

I've used 303on my leather in my convertible and it has kept the leather looking like new, which is quite an accomplishment in a convertible. The downside is that it does make the leather slick and a little shiny.
