#26 paste v. #26 liquid

Is there any difference in look between the two?

When I was a kid, I was told that paste wax always looked better but was harder to apply and remove. Wondering if that is the same here, and if not, when would you use the paste over the liquid?

Liquid works great by machine and by hand. I would go with the liquid because I had a bad experience with #26 paste(I had a defective version of it, and received the liquid from mike phillips and it worked much better, but I bet the paste is pretty good). A better wax than #26 is #16, which I would consider over the #26 anyday.

I agree with BW. In my experience liquid waxes have a lot of solvents (which help to keep them liquid). Paste waxes work better in all situations unless you aren't doing any prepwork. If you're topping a sealant a paste is less likely to remove or weaken it if using it over a glaze its less likely to remove the oils and fillers.

If there is a paste choice, choose it :xyxthumbs

GoodnClean,

Makes sense what you say about the liquid solvents, the #26 liquid is not nearly as glossy as the #16 paste, I always polished and sealed the paint before either and the #26 solvents must be stripping some of the prep gloss off.

Like hondaguy2582 said, try giving #16 a shot. It's good stuff!

An interesting comparison test would be #26 paste on the left side of the hood with #16 on the right.
