2017 Audi RS7 in Mythos Black Metallic. Gloss crazy!!!

his particular Audi belonged to the same gentleman who I just recently did the 2008 Porsche 997 for. Upon dropping off the RS7 for a little work over he informed that he was able to sell is 997 very easily due to how well it looked and ordered himself a 2017 Porsche GTS in the same blue metallic! That will be coming in a couple weeks as his is Audi Q5.


Onto the RS7. Fortunately this car only having 12k miles was in nice shape and only needed a good one step to correct the minor issues. But boy once corrected this paint is something out of this world! The flip and flop of the metallic from black to burgundy to greenish pearl is nuts!



Wash/decon


Hyperwash, 2BM, Mothers speed clay


Wheels/Tires


Sonax wheel cleaner plus, LATA, Hyper dressing


Engine bay


Light cleaning with Mckees N914 and dressed with Hyper dressing


Correction


Boss G21, Boss microfiber cutting pad, Menzerna PF2500. Adams swirl killer mini with 3in boss microfiber pads were also used


LSP


IGL Poly/ Premier top coat


Interior


Interior was fully steamed. Leather coated with Mckees leather coating. Carpets cleaned with Mckees carpet and upholstery shampoo.

Thanks guys! The client was very happy. This is definitely one of my favorite colors.

This particular client will be dropping his Audi Q5 and 2017 Porsche GTS in the coming weeks.
 
Wow what a crazy good looking paint! Great work!

Is the clearcoat still rock hard as for some years ago? Audi have had very nice paints over the years. Remember even my old s4 1992 in dark blue metallic had some kind of pearl effect. Black when dark a bluegreen in the sun and when clouds was out the dark blue metallic really poped even then. And it where a swirled out mess and yet with wax and some early sealant the paint looked so good. I often think about how nice I could have get it now with the knowledge of polishing.

Looking forward to see the other 2 cars that you have coming in.

Thanks! On this particular RS7 I would say it was definitely on the harder side considering I was able to do a one step with a Boss microfiber pad and PF2500 and not haze the paint. I also did a 2014 A7 that had hard clear as well.
