Full album here - 2016 Subaru Outback Coating & Prep - Album on Imgur
My mom finally got a new car after months of searching. I told her to tell the dealership not to touch the car prior to delivery which they (thankfully) obliged. The car must have just sat on the lot and wash never touched; the paint was in near perfect condition except for a few scratches and swirls here and there. I both loved and hated this since there wasn’t much to see correction-wise, but at the same time I can’t complain about having not much to correct.
The paint was polished with a combination of Rupes Yellow Foam Pads, Carpro Gloss Pads, and Meguiar’s Microfiber Pads, all with Carpro Essence. While I wish the color had a bit more blue in it, I think the paint came out looking great. I was even told the paint looked ‘wet’ by someone who doesn’t know much about detailing, so that’s a good thing I suppose!

The wheels were also coated with CQ. The tires were dressed with Gyeon Tire Q2.
The interior didn’t need much, a quick wipe down with some APC, brushes and microfiber. I dressed and protected the trim with 303 Aerospace, the door jambs were protected with Carpro Reload. The carpets were protected with CQ Fabric.
