This was my first repeat customer, so I was both excited and nervous as I (obviously) wanted to make sure I did a good enough job for the guy. He had just bought this Grand Cherokee about a month ago and wanted a one-step polish to bring back the life of the paint. He had told me the previous owner had one of those unlimited wash cards, so the previous owner would take it for a wash a few times a week.
He also asked me to remove the plastic chrome covers on the mirrors and door handles, as well as the dealer sticker on the back.
The paint was harder than I thought it’d be, after working for Jeep for about a year and a half I got used to dealing with soft paint on most of the cars. Of course this one was an exception. My original plan was to just polish the whole thing with Essence and save some time with the LSP step, but it was too hot out and flashing too quickly to get the cut I was after. M205 wasn`t cutting enough either, so I went with Ultima Fine Cut & Polish for 99% of the car. The paint was then sealed with Ultima Paint Sealant.
The plastic covers and dealer sticker were removed with a heat gun and pulling.
