2014 watch out

Detailing the Gulf Coast
I have been MIA for about a year, but don't think for a second I lost passion detailing. 2012 was a challenge for me (having twins is a lot of work) and 2013 was a year of catch up. Well we finally got caught up and started looking toward the future.

I spent January of this year dreaming big, had a couple LARGE contracts come up and even though they didnt pan out the way that we anticipated. It led us towards new doors(literally).

I have been ACHING to be able to post in this very sub-topic and am looking at AF for support/advice/encouragement as Vital Car Care grows! We just signed the lease on 2000sqft location.

Now that we have a little ROOM to mess with

We just have to make a plan

Needless to say we are excited to expand, and we are excited about the coming adventure we have in store for us!

Nice! You have anywhere comfortable for customers to do paperwork? Wait even? Good luck and best wishes

The plan is to locate our "office" upstairs. The "lounge" will be where the current office is and will function mainly as "flex" space. There are no facilities in the building so its not going to be setup for a wait while wash kind of thing. Our plan is to continue to keep overhead LOW and profit HIGH and continue to target our niche.

Thanks guys!
Saturday starts the pressure washing and the demolition/construction of the office. I will post pics as we go along. Hopefully the lift will be here later this week first part of this week.

Here is the lift

After the floors are clean and degunked we will start to move everything in. We are still by appointment only, and have a couple big leads on a steady lead of cars that will get us profiting sooner than later.

6 years in the making, lots of surprises along the way, but if you keep your mind set and hone in on what you want. you can make it happen. (be looking for a big update on my marketing topic (Here)

Wow! Congratulations! Like everyone else, I'm excited to see the results in the coming months. Judging by the plan, I'd say it's going to be epic! Really excited to see the work that's done in those bays ;)

Lift Came In

It is mobile, handles up to 6k, lifts 60, locks max 49. PLENTY to do wheels off detailing.

Client came by to check out our progress, we snapped a few pics of the new wash mat.

Definately nice to use, even inside the shop (shop does not have built in drain)

Spent the weekend tearing down the nasty office :

Electrician should be through soon to wire up more lights up top and around the sides where most of the polishing/inspection work will take place.

WHOA!!

So, going on about 2 months now and i think everything is starting to find their homes.

Panoramic shot of the inside bay.

on left the wood is a cart, 1 side pegboard for tools and the wood side holds mats down while we hit them with a tornador/extractor/steamer (all housed in the cart). Just need to get some sort of texture on them so theres less slippage but other than that this is a good way to have all your tools at your disposal and even aids in dividing off sections of the interior.

On the right i have a 10x20 wash mat to do all of my washing indoors in a controlled environment. I thank myself for this every wash. Electric (ryobi) pressure washer means i can do this all year round without freezing or getting burnt.

Backleft is just flex work space. Its been great for larger polish jobs, plenty of room to go to town without worrying about what is around you.

back right you see where we tore down the tiny office thing and made one big room with a window. We will be getting all of our POS and comm closet stuff locked up there and we have installed our security cameras along the entire loft structure.

its been interesting converting from Mobile to Shop, but for those of you that know how to run lean and want the room to really change your game around. its been hugely successful in just the past month. No advertising, no signage, only word of mouth has given us the next 2 months worth of work lined up.

Here are some other cars we have done in the new garage.
