2014 Mustang quick mirror cap correction

There's about two feet of snow on the ground here in NJ, so I prepared by making room in my garage for my Mustang. Nearly all of the exterior is corrected and coated on the car save for the mirror caps and few spots of trim. I figured I'd kill some time and correct the caps and layer some Powerlock on them for now.

I did a quick cleaning of the caps with ONR and clayed them afterwards with Meguiar's fine grade clay.

I used my Rupes mini, Blackfire Finishing Polish, and a Rupes 3 inch yellow pad to correct the caps. I used 4 pea sized dots on the pad, spread in on speed 2, and corrected on speed 4.5. The bottom halves of the caps were a little tough to get at, but I did my best to keep the pad flat and spinning. I had to jump the speed up to 5 to keep them spinning because the edges kept catching and stopping the pad.

I think they turned out pretty well. A few rock chips here and there, but that's expected. Once it warms up come spring time, I'll give them a proper coating like the rest of the car.

Thanks for looking!
