Owner recently purchased this 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee and there were some paint defects in the hood which the dealership repainted. Great job on the paint, not so much on the polishing. After a couple times back, there were still some light to moderate holograms on the hood and front fenders. Plus some light marring here and there. They said he should come back when a detailer they contract out would be there. He arrives, talks to the detailer, who tells him he'll be done in an hour. The owner of the car was shocked and said the swirls couldn't be removed that quickly. The response? He wasn't going to remove them, just hide them and swirls are just part of owning a black vehicle. :wall
He called me to look over his Cherokee, I gave him a quote and to my surprise, the dealership not only said they'd pay the top end of the estimate but they'd have a check ready for me! That's a first! Plus they let me work in their auxiliary showroom, which was well lit and NOT COLD. 28 this morning so being outside wasn't exactly fun.
Before. As you can see, most holograms and marring wasn't too bad.
Afters
ONR wash, Opti-Raser pink to clay
Meguiars #105 cut 30% with Optimum Hyper Polish (to extend work time) using a 5" Meguiars MF cutting disc and my Meguiars G110v2 DA Polisher
Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum MF cutting pad and my G110v2
Optimum Opti-Seal
ONR wash and wax @ 32:1 to clean glass
Armor All on tires/wheel wells
