Owner was referred to me through a mutual friend he knows on one site and I know on another. Initially he wanted me to teach him how to use his new Griots DA along with the Meguiars #105/205 he'd purchased. He wasn't having much luck and the dusting of #105 was understandably an issue as well. I spent about an hour showing him how to use his DA (along with my Rupes) and how much better Meguiars M100 was compared to their older compound, #105. And how well HD Polish cleaned everything up. I also showed him on three separate panels how Collinite 476, Clearkote Carnauba Moose and Opti-Seal look side by side by side. After realizing he was going to have to buy more products, he decided to have me do the paint correction and he would then maintain it with ONR Wash and Wax and light polishing and sealing as needed.

Took a couple weeks to get a large enough opening time-wise for the correction. Looked over the three panels, Carnauba Moose was slightly darker than the other two, Collinite 476 had better depth than CMW, but the winner was Opti-Seal, had more noticeable depth then either carnauba. Real surprise, my expectation would be that the appearance would be wetter than the other two, didn't expect the added depth. Seems the owner agrees, he'd already ordered Opti-Seal after seeing how ridiculously easy it is to use.

Now onto the detail, he'd had the pinstripes removed and there were some issues (scratches) on the passenger side he asked to have removed, so the passenger side got it the worst. At least they were too lazy to touch the roof!

The scratch you see along the plane of the light did come out, forget to get another shot

Owner had already washed and clayed the vehicle, it was ready to go! Which was a nice time saver since compounding alone took nearly 4 hours.

3D HD Polish using a Meguiars yellow foam polishing pad and my Rupes

ONR wash to remove dust

Optimum Opti-Seal to protect

Armor All on tires

Why foam pads when I usually use microfiber? Too much hazing, even some light hazing with HD Polish and an Optimum MF polishing pad. With foam, it was finishing out just amazing.

Optimum makes foam pads? News to me.

Great job as always!

Thanks! As far as the pads go, Optimum doesn't make them but distributes pads that meet their specifications.

One of your best write up yet! Excellent pictures as well. Done in 4 hours? WOW!

Ha ha, compounding in 4 hours...total time was closer to 6 and I didn't have to wash it initially to start. :lol
