Thanks to DETAILKING for posting those pics of TW tire gel-really like this gel and to geekysteve for convincing me how easy and safe it is to use clay. I was going to order Claymagic but opted to start with a Mothers kit, Thanks again guys.

mothers clay worked awesome on my friend's 95 BMW. Made the paint oo so smooth :xyxthumbs . Props to DK on the tiregel!

Can you guys post more pics of TW tire gel outside during the sunny day, please. DK's pics are great but I want to see others before I try it.

Clay rocks!

BTW I found Clay Magic to be easier to work with than Mother's. It's softer, will change shape easier when gliding over contoured surfaces, both will do the job well.

And one more - Clay Magic is cheaper, only $9.99 from Auto Zone.

Do I ever steer you wrong?! he he he

F1crazy--> there is not much about it not to like. If you like a product that goes on easy, lasts, and does not discolor tires, get it. You can play around with the gloss factor depending on how much you apply, how long you wait to buff, or how damp you make the applicator. If you buff quickly, it is not that glossy. If you let it dry and never buff, it comes out VERY glossy.......

Sad thing is, not everyone will be able to try it.....looks like when current inventories deplete...........thats it!

Ahhh, that's where I come in.

I have in my posession, two (2) full cases of TW Gel. I'm gonna wait for the supply to dry up before I start the bidding... mwuhaaahahahaaaa, mwuahhaahahaahaha.

:D

All Hail King Detail

:bow

lol, just kidding!:bounce

Just completed, this customer saw some of my write ups and was interested in what I could do for his Porsche as it some cosmetic "Issues" and he wanted his new car to look well....."New".

With only 6k miles or so the car needed light correction mostly but some areas required a little more attention such as the front and rear bumpers and wing.

Car as it came in.......

027.jpg

028.jpg

Dried out trim and spots.

029.jpg

Cluster of sand scratches.

034.jpg

Corrected.

036.jpg

Reverse angle of sand scratches.

039.jpg

All gone......

040.jpg

Right rear quarter(Which the client was concerned with..).

041.jpg

After.

042.jpg

043.jpg

Drivers door corrected.

049.jpg

Decent marring on lower rocker.

050.jpg

Corrected.

051.jpg

Left side front bumper was hazy with some kind of overspray, would require some aggressive correction to fix the issue.

055.jpg

057.jpg

After compounding & polishing, reflection of the halogen lights have clarity and gloss now.

058.jpg

059.jpg

Right side of the bumper had the same issue.

060.jpg

After.

062.jpg

Wing was marred up pretty good, so again some considerable time was spent to correct the scratches.

063.jpg

064.jpg

After initial compounding step.

065.jpg

Sand scratches on the wing, this was suprising as Porsche only has defects on the bumpers mostly.

066.jpg

After.

067.jpg

068.jpg

Sand scratches on right side of the rear bumper.

070.jpg

071.jpg

073.jpg

After.

075.jpg

076.jpg

077.jpg

On the home stretch......wheels dialed in, with calipers cleaned/polish/waxed.

081.jpg

Paint finished down pre-lsp.

082.jpg

Front splitter dressed to a matte finish.

083.jpg

086.jpg

Trunk area dressed to a matte finish(Say no to shine & grease lol).

001.jpg

Interior looking sharp.

Bob,

Great job. I love that car and you certianly did it some justice for sure. Did you find that paint Hard, Soft or in the middle? I have a White 911 TTS and also have some light to Medium marring on the bumper above the License plate. I have been gun shy to take a machine to it.

Did you dismount the wheels to get the calibers waxed? Those centerlocks are rumored to be a pain to remove and re-install. Curious what you think if you removed them.

Thanks for the post. Love to see these frst thing in the AM.

Have a nice weekend!

Jeff

Now that's another example of Auto Concierge "Tightness". Well done Bob. I just love the GT3. It's a fine example of the "killer" German Engineering!

Thanks for the comments, no I did not dismount them(But I can with the help of James @ Sharkwerks as they have the torque wrench 2K plus tool btw and you need two people to do the job as one person has to have the foot on the brake) just moved the car until the caliper was exposed enough to get to it with my "Snasage fingers"(I could pull this off but no way could "The Bing" with his "Rawlings catchers mitt hands" lol).

Have a Black GT3RS to do @ Sharkwerks(Yes I am down the street....but the car has no transmission in it) which the wheels will come off as it was on the recent "One lap of America" and is HAMMERED!!.
