2011 Mazda3 - HDSpeed - HD POXY- HD Free

My first Click n Brag. This is just a hobby for me and I have learned a lot from everyone who post here.

Sorry about the lighting. It was overcast tonight and I was using my Cell to snap some pics.

My wife's new daily driver. (2011 Mazda3) I detailed a few weeks ago using HD Speed and HD Poxy then and gave it a quick once over with HD Free tonight.

Process

Washed with Megs Gold Class

Glass - Stoners IG

HDSpeed on a HD Green Polish/Cutting Pad worked at 4 and 5 on my PCXP. Speed has nice work time as well.

HDSpeed cleaned up the paint nicely and removed most of the grit in the paint.

Then hand applied HD POXY and let it sit for 10 minutes before wiping off.

Tires got ArmorAll Gel, Rims got a coat of Poxy as well.

I'm a little behind in my detailing this year since I was dealing with a kitchen remodel, family issues, and a graduation to prepare for.

I've used Poli-Seal and DG501 in the past and would say Speed gave me great results.

Topping with Poxy is just icing on the cake.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you for the compliments. Much appreciated....

I'm sorry for no before pics...

I didn't realize how much of an improvement i made until after looking at the car once it was done.

HDSpeed did an excellent job of cleaning up the paint, giving it plenty of gloss. So easy to work with and I like how I could work awhile it to get better results.

Just imagine, It still had whatever was left of old man winter on the paint and Collinite 476/845 from last fall.

The paint was gritty when I purchased in in October and all I did was a quick once over of Poli-Seal and 476/845 before winter in Iowa.

Knowing I'd give it a proper detail in the spring. I almost went with DG501/845 but love how it turned out with the Speed/Poxy combo.

I did find a cpl of factory paint defects. Some embedded objects. one in on the roof and one on the hood. Looks to me like its under the clearcoat.

I plan on leaving them as is for now. It's a DD and not overly obvious to the untrained eye.

Another HD detail I did....

ToyotaTacoma2000.jpg

This is my son's previous 2000 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner I cleaned up in FEB 2012 prior to selling. 165k on the odo. A little rust and plenty of deep scratches. Previous owner hauled a kayak with it.

But good condition and well maintained. I fired up the garage heater and gave it a ONR bath, one pass of UNO via PC/Green pad, and then a coat of POXY. Let it sit over night in the garage. The next day I went out to the garage and admired my work..

Man was the paint slick the next day!!! Just amazing.... I'm really liking how POXY leaves such a glossy wet look.

The truck sold after 3 days on Craigslist. First caller gobbled it up upon seeing it in person saying that was the nicest/cleanest Taco in the area.

TDekany: I bought 10 of the 2ounce bottles of HD Free Concentrate last year. I like it a lot!!... Great in the winter, for door jams, and great on bird bombs..

Again thank you for your kind words.. Have a great summer.
