2011 BMW 535xi in need of cleaning and protection.

First up is some CarPro Trix on the wheels. Trix paired with wheel woolies made quick work of the neglected barrels. The tires were cleaned with BF APC then Tuf Shine tire cleaner.

Car was foamed with CGCW and little BF APC. Emblems and crevices agitated with woolie detail brush. Car was then rinsed.

Engine was cleaned with BF APC and a brush.

Next, 2BM with the Microfiber Madness Incredimitt. This was the first time using the mitt and it is a very nice mitt. It has a band to hold inside the mitt for better control while washing.

The picture shows how I use the decon block. A grit guard with some CG Honey Dew shampoo this time.

After removing the contaminants the paint was dried using the Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy 25" x 17. One of these MFs dried the entire car! The thickness makes it easier to hold than a WW in my opinion.

All door jambs were cleaned with MFs and Meguiars D114. The rubber was dressed with Duragloss Marine & R/V Protectant #531. Picture to show the before and after. I really like #531 on rubber seals.

Not shown - The glass was coated with DP glass coating. For the applicator I used the 4x4 CarPro Suede Microfiber Cloth with a foam applicator. Highspots were removed with a clean MF.

NOTE: 1/8 of an ounce was used to coat all glass including the sunroof. I set the glass coating bottle on a food scale before and after to obtain this amount. The food scale rounds to the nearest 1/8 of an ounce. I do not know if 1/8 of an ounce is too much. At that rate I could do ~32 cars if all variables were the same.

First, let me mention I am not a wax guy. I find it difficult to hold a small yellow applicator to apply a wax, sealant, or coating. This is why I like the decon block so much to clay vehicles and the CarPro foam applicators for other applications.

The paint was sealed with Victoria Hybrid Wax. It was applied with the Griot's Garage Palm Grip 3" Pad Holder on a LC HT 3" X 7/8" Crimson low profile pad. This combo fit PERFECT in the wax jar and made the application very easy. The hybrid wax was applied one panel at a time and removed with the Microfiber Madness Yellow Fellow. The Yellow Fellow worked extremely well removing the hybrid wax.

The wheels were sealed DP wheel coating. I used a yellow applicator on the face and a foam detailing swab to get around the lug nuts.

Note: I measured the wheel coating bottle on the food scale before and after application. It was 1/8 ounce used for these wheels. Again, I do not know if 1/8 of an ounce is too much. At that rate I could do ~32 cars if all variables were the same.

The Metallic Paint looks amazing with the Victoria Hybrid Wax.

Next, it was time to clean the inside. The inside was steamed and as you can see from the picture it needed it. Dash had Meguiars Quik detailer applied and the leather seats received Leatherique Pristine Clean.

Here are a few after pictures of the interior:

Last, the next morning I sprayed the hood with water to get the beading shot.
