2011 Audi R8 V10 Coupe Sepang Blue Correction by Richie's Custom Detailing Central FL

2011 Audi R8 V10 Coupe Sepang Blue Correction by Richie's Custom Detailing

I was contacted by the owner of this 2011 Sepang Blue R8 V10 Coupe to perform a comprehensive correction detail.

The car is raced on occasion. It wasn't in terrible shape but it was covered in long sweeping RIDS.

One concern the owner had was the condition of the carbon fiber engine compartment trim pieces. They were covered in swirls and holograms as this is how the supplier to Audi finishes them.

The carbon fiber air filter cover also had a deep scratch that needed some attention.

Total time spent 40 hours +

As it was delivered.

Totally amazing work there!

Audi R8 is a dream car of mine, it was really great to see it restored!

The Audi R8 is one my absolute favorite supercars. Those things look amazing at any angle.

What was the process used on the paint and what was the final seal/wax combo?

Great work, and I love the color! Very nicely done!

Hmmm, doesn't BMW offer a "Sepang Bronze" color? Me, I like the blue. It's killer, and it is nice to see someone use a car for its intended purpose.

Even better that the owner takes the car for a high-class detail.

Thanks for sharing!

Thought you never ask................. :eyebrows: this was a mingless detail aka no GI products used, Duragloss 105 is some good stuff and a array of "Whizbang" products were utilized most likely.

The Bing at his best!!.

I will most likely ask in every nice thread I see that does not list what was used or done.

And will most likely not get a reply as figuring out steps and products used by yourself is the only way you will get better, anyone can tell you a product used but at the end of the day you have to still figure it out on your own.

I can get the results perfectly fine with the products I use. I am just curious as too the products used as it might be a product that I have never heard ofof before. I am not asking for your process as each detailers are different. I am just curious as it gives me an idea of products or pads to look into. So not taking away from a thread, but I just assumed as a detailing forum people would discuss products rather than stroke their egos by just posting pictures.

If you post a picture, of a nice car and products are not chronicled it has to be the following.....

.Ego

.The car was easy

.Depriving others of the "Secrets"

Did a search on myself and could not find a post of me asking someone what they used, wonder why this is??. It is because I read threads, research threads, try things in my shop on my truck to see what combo's might work etc......

Now if I post for ego, the lack of comments should have me upset................... and I am not due to the fact that I DO give tips and help others out of the limelight, asking nothing in return and as a matter of fact when was the last time someone reached out to me and gave me something with nothing in return??.

I can think of no business where the competition calls and says "This is how you can be better than me"............... if someone does not take a certain pic or list a specific product or step it should go to reason that there is a reason that factoid was omitted.

The detailing trade is full of 50% er's and copy cats who will steal pics, web content, and in my case my good name. The best is when someone will just go to the "How did you do it" card without a mention of the hard work and skill that went into the job which attracted that person to think "Gee this car is dialed in, bet they know something about getting it done properly" .

I am older, less patient now a days with the point & click society that wants instant everything, what happened to quality being in style, and having your own individual way of doing things?. There is only so many ways somebody can correct a car frankly but the backlash against myself and others(We all know the list, including Jeff @ Immaculate who is a marked man now that he works with me often ).

The "Give it to me" attitude is so old and I am over it, the forum is a FREE exchange of content between members and no one whoever that might be should be villified for listing or not listing what/how/why. How is this IF you do good to great work it should be noted, and if not so be it....................... if the content is more important than the pictures why do people post the pics then....................out.
