2011 Audi R8 V10 Coupe Correction by Richie's Custom Detailing

Detailing NY

I used some new type of hand glaze today, it was amazing.

Take a look at the picture, the car looks like a mirror.

I have been waiting along time for some good hand glaze and finally i think i found it.

oops,. i already posted it under the picture thread listed under the reflection of the flag, take a look and give me some info.

sorry i forgot to say the hand glaze. It's made by car polish inc, and they just sent me a bottle to test it out as i will become a distributer for them for other detail / body shops. I was pretty impressed on how it came out.

sorry if this sounds like a sales pitch, but it's too new for me to say anything else about it.

In my experience, Meguiars Hand Polish (body shop line) outperforms everything else I have tried, including 3Ms IHG.

As you may know i'am not big on glazes. All they do is fill in some swirls, and add i short term gloss, even after waxing, just my opinion.

NY Detailer does this glaze have abrasives in it, or is it just a chemical cleaner with fillers and oils?

The hand glaze does have some chemical cleaners and a paint sealant. It has removed minor swirl marks for me in the past. It took me a very long time to find glaze this good. I think it is better then meguiar's, which i have uses for a long time.

As for length, i used this on my car about 3 weeks ago, after i was done i put a coat of meguiar's Pro #24 and i still got the deep shine, it has not worn off yet.

Cool:up, but Quote [it has removed minor swirls for me in the past] i disagree, it coverd them up or filled them, but it did not remove them, one needs an abrasive to remove them.:)

Can you provide a link or phone number and name to contact a person to get a sample? I'd like to try it on my test hood. Right now I use Meguiar's #7 Showcar Glaze after cutting and buffing a finish. Then a nice rub down of #7 before the final seal is put on.

I'm open to testing and perhaps using anything that gives the customer a good bang-for-the-buck!

have any of you guys used one grand's omega glaze. i really like it. i'm not a big glaze user either but it seems to hold up pretty well and it looks great. just wondering if you guys have tried it.

Yes I've tried it and it is good, but old habits die hard, thus the use of Meguiar's Showcar Glaze. The thing that is great about One Grand is the brothers that run the outfit. They are more then happy to talk with you about what your trying to do.

;) Bet you'd like Meguiars Hand Polish even more...:xyxthumbs

Please give me your reasons why? I see that it only comes in 32 oz. bottles. I have a feeling this product is really intended for fresh paint.

However you've picqued my interest and I just may have to get some. I find that most glazes go a loooong way. Always a MUST after removing light scratches or swirls.

It also comes in gallons. 1 gallon lasts me about 18 months or so. a little goes a long way. Whether or not it is primarily intended for new paint doesn't matter. My Accord is 12 years old and it leaves a very wet look.

BTW, a gallon costs only about $25 or so. I picked up a quart for Intermezzo for $9.99 at my local Meguiars distributer (the labels were scuffed so they sold them at a lower price).

It's normally $16.99 for a quart, but the discount was for the ugly label, that is why I picked you up your own quart instead of just sending you some of mine.

I used to be a big "glaze and wax" guy. It was my stock and trade when I detailed for a living.

Omega Glaze is the best product of its kind I've ever used. I'm sure there are new glazes on the market that are as good but I can't imagine one better.

Meguiar's, Mothers, Eagle One, Wax Shoppe, Pro, Malco, 3M are all glazes I can think of off the top of my head that I've used. I'd pass them all to use Omega Glaze. I'm a believer. But then again, I live in Carnauba Country.

The owner of this 2011 R8 V10 Coupe had seen the Ibis White Spyder that I had worked on prevously at a local show and wanted the same treatment performed on his new R8 prior to delivery. He put his deposit down in April 2009 and now just took delivery of his R8. Now that's patience.

This R8 is equipped with all available carbon options.

Unfortunately the on site wash jockeys had washed it and induced some marring.

Before.

These are the people responsible for the marring/

Some of the defects. The car had some waterspots and plenty of RIDS from the wash jockeys.

Some were hard to capture on camera.
