We received a call the other day from a long time customer who had traded in his 2008 Audi R8 for a 2010 Lambo Gallardo Spyder. He said he wanted to schedule a detail appt to be gone over from top to bottom. The car arrived in pretty good condtion less soiled light tan leather interior and the paint had some minor marring & typical towel marks.

When the car arrived we recommend our New Signature Detail Complete detail treatment which we had the chance to test and apply the new GI Paste wax which you will see in the video below.

We have been super busy at the shop and have many new write ups coming along with videos. We have created the video to highlight different aspects of a maintenance & protection detail along with images to show the process step by step.

Nice. I see your tagline ( Serving the Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche community Since 1990 ) is similar to a detailer from california

What's Gloss it? Do I need a ph.D to use it?

Gloss-it is a complete line of detail & paint correction products that are design for professionals but user friendly for the car & detailing enthusiast.

Moderators, Should this person/company be banned for self promotion of products? He is violating the spamming rules as he is clearly the marketer and reseller of these products and is not a sponsor here on Autopia.org?

:werd: He was doing fine right up until he made that statement which is clearly product marketing.

Well he might not be the manufacturer of the products he sells,(in my humble opinion) but he is clearly violating the rules here.:biggrin1:

Manufacturing:

Manufacturing is the use of machines, tools and labor to produce goods for use or sale. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial production, in which raw materials are transformed into finished goods on a large scale. Such finished goods may be used for manufacturing other, more complex products, such as aircraft, household appliances or automobiles, or sold to wholesalers, who in turn sell them to retailers, who then sell them to end users – the "consumers".

Manufacturing takes turns under all types of economic systems. In a free market economy, manufacturing is usually directed toward the mass production of products for sale to consumers at a profit. In a collectivist economy, manufacturing is more frequently directed by the state to supply a centrally planned economy. In free market economies, manufacturing occurs under some degree of government regulation.

Modern manufacturing includes all intermediate processes required for the production and integration of a product's components. Some industries, such as semiconductor and steel manufacturers use the term fabrication instead.

Obviously the OP does not resemble the definition above. (In my humble opinion of course.):Fermani:

You're correct Mr. Carbone. I've edited my original post. Thank you.

As an aside, does anyone know if these are just rebottled products from the usual blenders e.g. CG/Warner Chem etc?

Okay. I am not hear to start an argument but state a valid and important point. I have owned and operate Granite Auto Grooming Since 1990 and launched from Boston, Mass. I sold my business to an employee in late 1995 and move my detail operation to Las Vegas, NV early 1996. So I guess you can say I have paid my dues after being in the detail business for almost 22 years, and in the past 12 years wanted to create a line of products to help the professional detailers i.e. gloss-it.

Granite Auto Grooming is still in operation today and continues to due business in Las Vegas, NV. We help R&D and develop new products and spend many man hrs and testing to get them to work successfully, which as you can already tell have a few people / detailers that are attacking me disagree and they are entitled to the own opinions about GI products. But what I will say is how is GI products sold in countries from around the world and why would amazon approach us to buy and sell gloss-it for 2012? Also you will see the proof in the detail write ups and videos the products work!~

Yes, I own both companies GI / Granite Auto Grooming. I am not just a CEO but a proficient & professional detailer / paint correction specialist and hold classes every couple months which every detailer who has attacked me have attended and has been considered some of the better detailer's from around the country. So I will leave the forum members to draw there own conclusion to what is the truth. My point is there actions to match there words??

For the manufacturing of the products. The answer is no I do not private label GI products through any companies these propitiatory formulas I have created our owned by me solely and I have spent significant money and time to get to this final point and paid my dues. For the point of Manufacturing Richie made about equipment. Did you know that 3m/meguiars hires companies / blenders to make there products but they do own the right to the formulas, YES! Why is this odd or uncommon? This is a common practice in chemicals outside detailing and yes there are companies who private label but gloss-it is not one of them!

So I already have requested info and pricing for mentioning the products use & sold so there will be no further issue about me violating rules on the forum.

I hope this has cleared some confusion

That's funny...LOL. I get it... your referring to baby oil / white mineral oil

The evp pad prime is a specific white mineral oil (not the same grade as johnson & johnson:ear:) which is a slow drying to assist the cutting polish to work longer/wet without marring the finish but allowing the polish to fully diminish leaving a great finish. Also used in many cutting polishes today along with mineral spirits which is a fast drying oil and can cause the polish to dry to quickly causing or introducing marring & holograms.

EVP works awesome with Meg 105 / and Menz elimates heavy dusting and allow to work much longer. Give it a try you will be surprised.:grinno:

Rich

As I had a conversation with Dave Fermani this morning and concerning this I told him I would cool it, but when I read that the "Detailers" who are attacking him attended the "Signature detailing classes" I had to respond "With the quickness".

First off Richie attended the class with Mark Zamzow and I TAUGHT that class!!!, you did not do anything and that is not up to dispute!!.

Claudio worked with Jimmy not you and you know this.......................if I get banned for this mods so be it......................but I am calling out this liar once and for all as everyone knows the deal about you Rich, more of the same where YOU told detailers you were the "Secret" behind Richie's, Dave's and my correction skills......................you also told people I had only been in business since 2006....................what happens if I post my DBA filing in 1994 in Alameda County chief??? you get exposed again...................or when I put up pics of me in the 90's 25lbs lighter with no grey hair?? owned again on that one.

Mods if this known liar is allowed to continue here then Autopia will deserve what it gets in the future from Mr Light...............(All in my humble opinion of course).

Rich you are incredible.............................. also reading your paragraphs makes anyone who reads it dumber for 20 minutes................spell check........................
