This is the same customer who owns the 2009 Z06 I posted last week. This is his beater
.
Since it's a lease, he didn't want to go crazy with 2 or 3 step paint correction. He opted for a one step polish, so I was looking for something a bit stronger than M205, but not as strong as M105. Meguiar's D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream via Lake Country Tangerine Hydro-Techs seemed like the perfect combo. I was also testing out a Hydro-Tech with the black CCS backing. It's the third time I've used the pad and have not had a single issue with it.
I didn't expect D151 to correct as well as it did, but it removed all the swirls and left a VERY nice finish, even after an IPA wipedown. Might I also add I've been testing out a new "prototype" sealant for Max and the results have been nothing short of impressive thus far. We've been seeing durability in the 6-8 month range and looks are impressive. It does not offer the carnauba warmth of Wolfgang, but does add a nice pop to the paint and looks very wet.
Before we get on with the detail, here are some of the vehicles in the "collection" in their warehouse that I will be working on soon.
