My co-worker just got one of these and I told him he needs to clay and put a sealant on it. He told me the owners manual said not to touch the paint for two months . Is this true?

Polish, definitely not. But claying and sealant without cleaners should be fine.

There is generally a period when it leaves the factory that the paint needs to be cured in the sun, but if he applies the sealant lightly and carefully, he won't introduce any scratches.

I highly doubt there's anything in the manual stating this, but I could be wrong. Our CR-V came straight off the truck with protective film and all, into the garage, and got 3 coats of UPGP and a coat of Zymol Titanium. Now you know what I think about that:p

But seriously, I think factory cured paint is just that, but if it was painted at a body shop, then I would probably be tempted to wait a month or so, even though it may be fine as well.
