2009 Merc R500

Got More Wax

New member
I just serviced this client's Tahoe, that he promptly sold and replaced with an '09R500. This car is brand new so, I didn't do anything inside. Instead, I spent 12 hours working the paint. This car sat on the lot for almost 7 months, getting the three times a week spray and dry - paint was beat!! Client bought the car and drove it down some dirt road and I took it with 109 miles. Car looked bad when dirty, worse after washing.

Not a lot of pics on this one - customer didn't want to get too crazy on the "People Mover".

So, on the way to the shop, I got pics of the car as I received it.

Since the car sat for so long and because this guy is such a good customer for the dealership, they had an outside detailer "Buff the Finish"

god man, that sucks....7 months of crappy washing technique obviously sucks!!! Hope you can talk your way into one of those places and show them whats up!!!

Great job ! i think Mercedes brakes beat BMW's in the " Obnoxious to Clean " catagory , not only do the benz brakes get extreamly hot and literally bake the dust into the wheels , brake dust on the inner part of the wheel gets gummed up like tar . I have a Silver R350 with those wheels and can not stand them !

Damn, dude. I would be PISSED if they delivered my $50,000+ Mercedes looking like that. Great turn-around man!!

Yeah, there are a few 63's around L.A. and that's a pretty cool hauler. Too bad they're just sooo heavy. Locally you could get an R500 for 3-5k more than a 350. People just didn't see the need and the fuel economy was/is horrid. The small numbers sold overall really make R500/63's pretty rare.
