2009 Ford Focus

I got a PC 7424 for Christmas, and I need to get the accessory kit from CMA, because I want the velcro backing plate and the pads that come in the kit.

What I am wondering is, how do the pads (white, yellow, etc) attach to the PC and the velcro backing plate? Do the pads themselves have velcro on them to attach? Is this the same as "hook and loop"? I have a "Hook and Loop Lambs Wool Polishing Pad" from Porter Cable.

Thanks,

Josiah

Yep!! The pads themselves have a piece of velcro on the back. You just press it against the plate..Works great!!

Anyone who has used the CMA pads and Meguiar's pads, which do you like better? Any comparisons?

I've used them both. I like the CMA pads better for cutting - however the Meguiar's soft-buf (can't remember the exact name) is the softest of all, and I do use that under the Ultimate Bonnett for final buffing out. I would use it for wax application too, although presently I'm using the black CMA pad and it seems to be "soft enough".

How about them viper bonnets? I love the viper applicator pads, especially here where it can be pretty dusty. Anyone used the bonnets?

2009 Ford Focus, 13k miles.

Just a good wash and some sealant on a new car.

I was able to clean the wheels, tires, and wells with DC car wash and various brushes.

The car itself was washed with Gold Class Shampoo and a microfiber wash mitt.

I clayed the paint with Blue Mild Clay and LT at 1:1.

I applied some M20 Polymer Sealant with my PC.

Tires and wells dressed with HD at 2:1.

Glass cleaned inside and out with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1.
