2008 Mustang - If M205 were a woman, I'd leave my wife.

Hopefully my wife doesn't read that...

This car belongs to the wife of a good client of mine; the agreement was a single-step polish exterior, with full interior. The expectations were for some minor swirls and imperfections to be bettered or corrected.

My prep process was... well, my process was the same as all my other cars that I have spent stupid hours writing up, so yah, there was a process, I promise.

My first combo against my taped off test area was M205/Orange via PC; I've done a lot of Mustang's before, but this was my first time only doing a single-step polish on one. Hot diggity damn, the 205/orange was on fire tonight!

The 205/Orange was a homerun on this particular car, knocking out more than I ever could have hoped for with a single-step, and finishing out just perfect.

The sun peeked out for about 5 minutes right when I had finished the drivers side; I pulled it out for a quick inspection in the sun.

Next up was the rear bumper; beauty. Tip of the day: make sure they're unconscious before you go stuffing them in the trunk :2thumbs:

This was the only spot on the car that I compounded; 105/orange x 2 passes, followed up with M205/orange - better than I expected! Less evidence that you stuffed someone in your trunk against their will:

Now you see it:

Now you pretty much don't :p

Tail lights had some swirling going on; combo of the day took care of them no problem as well! Before:

After:

Now onto the part that I was just so excited to get to... nothing gets me in a great mood like a perfectly maintained interior:

And to end the day, some cloudy reflections with a layer of CG Butter Wax:

Thank you for watching :2thumbs: And for the record, I don't condone stuffing people into the trunk of your car. :)

Wow! You worked a miracle on the floor mat.

Are you sure that's not a new one someone just slipped in there?

Ha, client said the same thing. That is my trade secret; when in doubt, just replace things with brand new stuff and tell people you got it that clean :woot2:

The process on the mats were soaking in a mix of Bissell LGCM solution and Optimum Power clean APC, agitating with a brush after 5 minutes or so, then power washing, followed by extracting the leftover water with my LGCM.

On the floor carpeting / salt stains, I spray everything down with the Bissell / OPC mix, agitated with a brush then extracted with the LCGM + hot water.

Now thats hilarious. Great job Chris.

Holy crap...I had to to do a double take on the interior shots on the car to make sure it was the same car lol.. Great job.

Thanks DJ!

Thanks to everyone else too. Not a very flashy or sought after car but I still take pride in spicing it up a little :)

Thanks guys. Patrick, I'd give it a go if I were you. 105 and 205 shave HOURS off of a full correction job, and they let you bang out single-steps like this in a lot less time than your traditional Menz / older megs polishes.

Awesome work and I definitely love the M205/orange combo on the PC (5.5" pads is what I use). Great work on the interior, I'll have to pick up that Bissell soon!

I agree, you definitely should use the new stuff. I was a huge skeptic, not of Meg's products as I'm a huge fan of M80, but M105 and M205 (moreso 205) but once I tried them and had some practice with both, I'm still on the fence with M105 as I use it along with M95 half and half now, but M80 has nearly been replaced with M205. Great stuff and the best thing about M205 is how nice it finishes with a finishing or light polishing pad while still taking out defects (via rotary at least)

HOLY hell im excited to use the 105 tomorrow. ive got a stubborn hood on a customers car right now that none of my compounds are doing a good job on. this gives me great hope. looks like ill be ordering some 205 for my polish and seal jobs now...

Maybe this one, but most the time Ford is on the harder side for me.

Yep, me too. That's why I was so impressed with the results. First late-model Mustang I have worked on that got results like this from such a mild combo.
