Got a call from this guy who was wanting to polish the vehicle as he was selling it for his father who apparently never drives the car anymore. The car has 3600 miles on it but it was pretty beat up from when it sat and it had some rather heavy swirls and scratches. The contamination was pretty heavy all over the car so it took about an hour to clay the painted surfaces, glass, wheels, etc. The customer didn't want to spend a huge amount of money since he was selling so I did Menzerna 203 power Finish via White LC pad at 900-1500-900 and that brought the gloss back out to an acceptable level for sale. Next step, I cleaned the paint using Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze using PCXP via Black LC Pad at speed 6. This step cleansed the paint, brought some more gloss out and set the paint up properly for it's protection. As the last step, I decided to try out Dodo Juice Light Fantastic. This product is easy to use and looks great. I know it doesn't last as long as a sealant, but the car would be sold within weeks so we were good. I'll get onto the pictures and you can judge for yourself. As always, thanks everyone!
Final Process Was:
Chemical Guys Citrus Wash-N-Gloss mixed 2oz per gallon @ prep ratio
Waffle Weave Drying Towels from Detailed Image
70% IPA wipe down
Menzerna 203 Power Finish via White LC Pad @ 900-1500-900
Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze via Black LC Pad @ Speed 6 on PCXP
Dodo Juice Light Fantastic by hand using LC Red Applicator
The wheels were cleaned using Chemical Guys Sticky Gel Wheel Cleaner paired with the EZ Detail Brush. The wheels then received a coat of Optimum Poli-Seal
3,000 miles of brake dust and grime
The front cargo space had mud, dirt, bugs, etc from when the car had sat. I removed the plastic pieces that were a clip on to properly clean and then treated by using 303.
I did not document too many before or during photos just took a bunch of afters messing around with different settings on the camera.
