My first click and brag :)

Notice there aren't any up close pictures. I don't have a machine yet, so there are some swirls from the dealership, and then there's that orange peel.... Anyway this is what I used:

Griot's Car Wash

Sonus Ultra-Fine Detailing Clay

Sonus Paintwork Cleanser (on paint and on inside the wheels)

Mother's Advanced Car Wax

P21S x 3 layers

Black Wow on trim, grille, side mirrors, and splash guards

Sonus Tire & Bumper Dressing Gel on Tires (and weather seals)

Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish on exhaust tips

Chemical Guy's Wheel Wax

This took about a week with the car garaged. Getting ready for a car show tomorrow. Sorry, no before pics. Paint was in pretty good condition to start with except some swirls and light scratches (I will get those out later), it just wasn't shiny :)

Sonic blue is one of my favorite Ford colors and definitely cleans up nicely. Car looks GREAT. Very nice reflections, and you can see by the sun there are no swirls.

Now, lower that thing.

Looks terrific! :)

I really love that color, one of my regulars has the same car in California Special trim. Get a PC, polish it out and take some sun shots, that paint really comes alive in the sun. :up

Looks great, you'll do well at that show. Sonic Blue is a great color but I don't believe that is SB, as to the best of my knowledge it was only offered in 2005. My brother wanted to get something like it for his 2006 Mustang but no go so he went with Windveil Blue. According to the Ford website that is Vista Blue Clearcoat Metallic. Seems a shame that they only offered the color for one year.

That's correct, it is vista blue!

How do you like the Black Wow? I have a Windveil Blue 2006 Mustang GT and have been considering giving Black Wow or the new Ultima trim product a try. How did you apply it to the grill?

The Black Wow can be a PITA if you're not careful. Do not let it touch the paint. If use a damp MF to wipe excess, do not let the MF touch the paint. Aside from that, its great! I used a 1" foam brush from a hardware store (paint supplies) to apply it to the grill. Takes some time, but it looks a lot better than not protecting it. I am also curious about the Ultima trim product, but I have a lot of Black Wow and haven't seen enough testing of Ultima yet.

I think I see a glass roof?

Good eye. It does have a Glassback. Its hard to tell, even in person. At the car show today the couple next to me came up to me mid-show and said they just noticed it. My wife and I love it :)

Thanks for all the replies. The show could have been better. We had unseasonable overcast skies and some rain at the very end. Without the sun my hard work wasn't easily noticeable. But I had fun!
