This was not a full restoration, we have scheduled the vehicle for the next coming weeks to bring it back to the way it should be. This was a $200 job. I had a time limit and told the owner what could be done for that price, so we went for it :up

Process

wash

p21s 100%

(vehicle is in DIRE need of clay)

full interior vac

dust etc.

CG super blue - tires

Vehicle looks really good in the afters, but I have a few bones to pick. Nicely of course.

So please, do not take it the right way.

#1- The afters looks amazing, obvoiusly they're shot in the early evening so conditions help to provide that look, but they look like you dropped a hammer of polishing on the paint, but all you did was wash and wax. This makes me even more skeptical of the pics I see online.

#2- I have been detailing for 5 years +, have learned thing you can only learn with experience, have been lugging a rotory for almost 3, yet I would not dare charge a customer $200 for washing and waxing a car and giving the interior a vac and wipe. I'd feel guilty. I love our craft, but I definately enjoy giving the customer a good feeling of what they're getting. The max I would feel comfortable upcharging for a job like that is $135 max, and I would include claying.

Again, everyone has their own opinion and clientelle, I'm just stating my personal opinion and reasoning. I like your work so lets not let this turn the wrong way.

In response...

I took the the photos "Before" and "After". Before happened to be around 3PM and after happened to be around 7PM. If I "said" I polished the vehicle with these photos, that would bring a problem. I stated I did no correcting at all, honesty is all we have :secret

To travel 30 miles each way and complete this job it was well worth $200. My rate is $45-50/hr. I keep it a FLAT rate, it works out much better for everyone that way.

isnt that stuff bad for your health? I personally used a steamer to clean the rims on a 535xi and they had the same result.

Dont think so but it is powerful stuff so I always wear nitrile gloves and a face mask.

as long as you prespray the rim, use proper dilution, and thoroughly rinse... you should be fine :dance

Bump for this question as well.

Pour it into a spray bottle, adjust the trigger, and viola :)

It does not stain or sling, if you do a quick wipe before the vehicle is finished. I like tires that look wet, that is me.

Excellent! Thanks, Martin.
