2007 Lexus RX350 in for a wash, decon, and wax. The SUV is washed by the local drive thru car wash. It had quite a bit of tar build up on the side panels.

First up some Sonax on the wheels with wheel woolies.

The tires were cleaned with OPC 1:3 twice then followed with Tuf Shine tire cleaner. Below is the Tuf Shine tire cleaner working after scrubbing with the Tuf Shine tire brush.

With the tires and wheels clean I foamed the SUV with CGCW and a little BF APC. The SUV was rinsed then 2BM wash with the MicroFiber Madness Incredimitt.

The side panels contained quite a bit of tar. Before using Tar-X I tried the Pinnacle Bug Sponge. The sponge removed the tar very easily. I highly recommend having a paint safe bug sponge in the arsenal.

Iron-X was sprayed on the paint then rinsed very well especially behind the plastic moldings.

After the IX removed the iron particles I used the decon block to remove the other contaminants with some Mr. Pink.

The entire SUV was dried with a single Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy. This towel impresses me every time I use it.

Next, I brought the SUV in the garage. The door jambs were cleaned with D114(love the smell). DP Wheeling coating applied with a yellow applicator cut in half.

The glass was coated with a 4x4 CarPro Suede Microfiber Cloth/foam applicator and the DP Glass coating. Highspots were removed with a clean MF. It was very humid outside but I had no issues applying the DP glass coating to a window at a time.

The paint was sealed with Victoria Hybrid Wax. To change things up I applied the Victoria Hybrid Wax by machine. The Griot's 3" polisher on a LC HT 3" X 7/8" Crimson low profile pad. The 3" crimson pad fits nice into the wax and the machine made it very easy to apply the wax. I applied the wax a panel at a time and removed it with the Microfiber Madness yellow fellow.

The sun was going down fast, no reflection shots. The tires were dressed with CG VRP, black trim received the CG new look trim gel, and wheel wells were sprayed with CG barebones. The silver paint & black trim combo looked amazing.
