I just finished this Lexus up today. I took pictures of the exterior and engine only. Total time spent was about fifteen hours ( Im slow, I know)

Wow, that is one of the lamest engine compartments I have ever seen. WAYYYY too much plastic. It is a shame the direction that car manufactures are going now.

I like how the first thing the owner did was put his (most likely) greasy hand right on the hood, lol.

Nicely done by the way!! Looks great.

Well done Nick.

Did you actually do the engine and remove the plastic covers? If so, did you have any issues with the plastic rivets which allow you to remove the covers? I removed my to install a JoeZ Intake pipe and a K&N air filter and I pretty much broke every rivet!!!

What did you use on the black plastic? Can I safely assume, M40?

Seriously, the guy has a $70K Lexus and he just got it back from a 15 hour detail and the first thing he does is stick his paw on the hood??? Come on man!

I had a guy do the same thing after I detailed his Ford Escape. It was in horrible shape when I got it and I brought it back from the dead and when I returned it, he started rubbing his fingers on all the deep scratches that it had that he hadn't noticed before because it was so dirty all over. Some people just don't get it.

Looks great Nick, thats about right on doing a job like that (15hrs).

Thanks Angelo , how have you been doing?

I actually insisted that he ( or I) remove the plastic covers but he told me he did not want to break anything and it just was not worth the hassle. If it were my car I would have removed them.

As for the black plastic, I used M40.

Thats alright.

Great work on a very nice auto.

Thanks Bryan.

Very nice work, the LS is a great car. Got chauffeured in one when I was in Vegas (sent from the hotel) and it was tightness!

Probably better that you didn't. As I said, I broke EVERY single rivet when I removed mine.
