2007 GMC Yukon Denali vs. EXP

Hey guys, just completed this detail on this 2007 Denali with 11,000 on the clock. A few things I notices on this truck were the AMAZING improvment in overall quality, ezpecially the interior. Having owned an 01 Suburban and an 06 Escalade, I truly could not believe how much better the interior of this truck was. Any way, on to the detail!

I am good friends with the owners, and right after they had bought it, I immediatley told them not to wash it using other than a touchless wash system until i could get my hands on it. They did so, so the only swirls were from the awful tunnel wash at the dealer. My plan of attack was Opt Polish on a green EDGE 2000 pad on the Hitachi at 1400RPMS. This not only removed all swirls, but also revealed an awsome gloss and LSP ready finish. From here, I proceeded to apply 2 coats of EX-P by hand, followed by one applicarion of my own mixture, Natty's SKY (70% Blue 30% White Nattys) Which added alot of depth to the wet white finish.

The Process:

I washed with DP Extreme Foam shampoo in the Glimour in combonation with a ShMitt. Dried with my WCD Waffle Weave (Love these things!).

Wheels were treated with Megs WB 4:1 and a GC Spoke and Wheel face Brush. I then Blasted that off with the Karcher and neutralized the pH with EO's Bucketless. The Tires and wells were done with 1:1 Hi Temp Tire Cleaner, with the wells being treated to begs ASD and tires with my favorite High Gloss Endurance. Wheels treated to PB's Wheel sealant.

Polished op and green edge, then clayed with Megs and ONR lube. EXP was then appliedx2, followed by nattys. Final wipedown with Megs Last Touch.

Interior got Vac'd, then treated with Folex then extracted with the Mytee. All plastics and vinyl with APC 10:1 then PB's Natural Look. Seats were done with Z9 and Z10. Glass with Stoners IG.

I was happy with the end result, and keep in mind that I'm only 15!

Well not bad for a 15yo :D No, really, great job on that Yukon. I've noticed the improvement on the interior design, fit and finish also.

Excellent work, the paint looks very wet. :)

I really like the improvements too but the orange peel on most is pretty bad.

Top notch work you're doing Ben. That white looks so wet, love the Reflections after your combo of EXP and Nattys. How long do you estimate you put into the detail? One thing I was wondering was you clayed after polishing?

You're 15 y/o an have already had an Escalade and a Suburban?!

Very nice detail by the way. I really like the Denalis (except fot those taillights).
