Are you going with Subwoofers, Components, or Full-Range (read: coaxial) speakers?

Sorry for the quick write up on this one...feeling lazy tonight. :biggrin:
I did this car a little over a month ago and it was my first go at using the Surbuf pads...I must say I was very impressed.
Owner of this car bought it used on a cloudy day and was shocked after washing it and seeing the paint condition in the sun. :cursing:
Dealer/body shop was nice enough to leave a bunch of compound splatter in the jambs.
Paint was pretty swirled up with lots of RIDS
About 80% of the car had been repainted and there was some very heavy over spray on much of the car. I was able to remove most of it using laquor thinner and following that up with clay.
You can see the area I tested here with clay
both sides looked like this...
It was hard getting it all out of the cracks but I was able to remove about 95% of it.
Taping off the clear bra edge....lots of film on this car too. :cursing:
Door after using the Surbuf with M105 on the PCXP.....you can still see light marring but the defects were removed with ease.
The process for paint correction was as follows:
M105 on the PCXP with 6.5" Surbuf pads
M105 on the PCXP with white LC pads
Menzerna 106fa on the rotary with Crimson LC pad
LSP was Blackfire Wet-Diamond

I used some of the advice I had seen on the forums from several members on the Surbuf's (Prime pad, light pressure, speed 6, clean with compressed air). I did follow up using Todds method with a white LC and M105 on the PC7424. It finished down well but still had light marring. FWIW I've never been able to finish down 100% on any of the black Caddy's with M105 or M205. Menzerna has always worked very well though for me on the finishing step. I do plan to play around with Todd's method some more as it did seem to save some time.

Nice work Rasky... I've found that the Surbufs cut my working time and effort by 2/3 on hard clearcoats like the Caddy!:thumbup:

Yeah, that over spray was a PITA! I almost removed the door moldings just so that I could get all of it out but I was worried it may pull the paint right off the panel having been repainted. :-B
