2007 Corvette Z06

I was recently contacted by a member on Ferrari Chat after he read a few reviews of my work performed on other FChat members' cars. He asked me if we could start up a regimen for his newly acquired Z06 to keep it looking like new all year round. We emailed back and forth, struck a deal on pricing and procedure, and then worked out delivery details.

Yesterday I took the train from my home in Northern NJ into Manhattan picked up the car from Jon (the owner) and drove the 30 miles back to my shop. This car is such a monster and being allowed the opportunity to drive it 60+ miles (round-trip) absolutely made my day.

The car had 560 miles on it when I got to it, and although the paint wasnt badly marred, it sure was filthy as all of the 560 miles had been in so-so weather and the car is stored in a NYC garage during the day. :help:

Procedure:

-Mothers Gold Wash

-ClayMagic ClayBar

-Stoners Tire Shine

-Mothers Chrome and Aluminum Polish on Exhaust

-CD2 Engine detailer in wheel wells

-AquaWax on Wheels

-RMG via Rotary and Polishing Pad

-OCW

-Collinite 845 Insulator Wax

Ill let the pics speak for themselves:

Yeah, I too was sort of surprised at the trust he put in me just handing over the keys. Granted it wasnt as if I contacted him with a detailing proposition and he knew others had trusted me with their BIG $$ cars from the reviews he read. That said, I dont know that I would be handing my keys over to a stranger to drive out of and then back into NYC traffic. :grinno:

I actually had never used Collinite before, but I bought it for those customers (and myself) who want their Brembo/Stoptech calipers cleaned and waxed. Jon (Z06 owner) wanted the absolute most durable protection I could give him, so out came the collinite. Although I like other Caranubas more, the Collinite does have a great look about it which when coupled with its durability makes it a no-brainer.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Great job on the detail! I have no idea how you were able to manage the CD-2 in the wheel wells but more power to you! :) It is a great product for sure! I had to use Hyper Dressing on the one I did as I couldn't get my can positioned right :lol Again, great job!!
