Added some sun pics below

The client lives in Charlotte, but bought a new black 2007 911 here in Atlanta a few months ago.

It must of went something like this...Sir we thought you ordered the following options on your paint. Buffer trails, holograms and swirls. :scared:

The client sent me these pics:

The client convinced the dealership to give me access to a detail bay for the day.

So after trying out different combo's on this soft clear such as:

106ff on white pad- seemed to work ok at first but would not get out the deep RIDS.

P1500 on a orange pad-Still not enough cut.

Wash

Blue wool with p1500 metabo 1600

White CCS/106ff/metabo 1500 x2 on some areas.

blue CCS/3M ultra fina/metabo 1500

Z6 wipedown

3x of Z5pro

Tires Z-16

Had one of the guys at the dealership pull it out into the sun to check for buffer trails after polishing, none to be found. I wish I would of had my camera then, but the clock was ticking. Was dark out when I got done and the client needed to get back to Charlotte. So only time for a few pics.

The client was great to work with. He pretty much hung out the entire day, went out to get us lunch/drinks, ect.

Update! The client was kind enough to make some time in his busy schedule to take some sun pics.

Great work Bryan...I am sure the owner was thrilled with having someone detail their car right..:xyxthumbs

what was the reaction of the dealership after seeing a car detailed the right way? car looks outstanding by the way.:goodjob

I would be pissed if I showed-up to a new Porsche and it looked like that.

It looks great now.

I'm surprised you felt the need for 3M ultra-fine after 106FF. What was the reasoning? Did you see something you didn't like?

That is the correct way to detail a car. Fantastic work Bryan . What did the dealer have to say about the detail ???.

Cheers , Jean Paul

Great work man.....that Porsche is flawless. I'm sure you were a real popular guy in the shop that day! :bat :grinno:

No kidding. I am sure all of the dealership guys were like...."Wow..thats what a detail is supposed to look like"

Maybe the dealer forgot to look at the option list and though that the swirls were wanted. Bryan the Carrera is so wet  and the owner had to be floor from your work! Outstanding correction and amazing finish!........

Holey S$*%!!! That thing looks great!! Can't say what I would do if I showed to pick up my new car and it looked like the "before" pic........fantastic work!!

I'll add my $.02 as well..beautiful job!! Will this lead to some jobs from the dealership for you? It bloody well should when they see how it could/should be done!

very nice work? just like everyone said ill bet the people there felt pretty dumb when you came in and showed everyone up. how long have you been using ultrafina SE? and how would you say it compares to presta polishes?

Good job again looks amazing

Awesome correction Bryan! The Porsche is dripping wet!

Is P1500 a Presta polish?

Thanks John! Yes presta 1500 polish. I really like the way it works with wool.

Wish I could of got it done before all the managers went home, but not worth hurring a job like this.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! yes, would also like to know if the Dealer Hacks had any thing to say!

Thanks Red! The detailer that was there said something to the effect of, "That guy is not here." Not sure if he ment on a permanent basis or what....

Thanks JJ! I was actually having some issues using 106ff on this soft clear. With a white CCS pad it was "binding up" on the paint. You could actually feel and hear the metabo slowing down. This also seems to create more heat. I saw the same thing happen with this combo on the black F430 that Todd and I detailed down in FL. From what Ryan thinks the sharp abrasives are actually biting into the soft clear before they are broken down. So I will make sure I have some IP and FPII with me on the next "soft clear car" I polish. Back to your question, I just wanted to ensure the paint was hologram free. On something like a vette, I like the 106ff/white as the clear is so hard it just does not matter with the rotary.

Thank you! It was not a big deal at all. I was a bit :nervous2: at first. But I figured if you are polite to folks they will usually do the same.

Thanks WL! I think this is the 3rd car I have used UF on. I can't compare it as I never really used any of the presta polishes to finish with.

WOW x 2!!!!!! Too bad the dealer didn't get a chance to see your work. Then you could show him what dealer prep "should" look like. BEAUTIFUL WORK BRYAN!

Toto

What more could anyone expect out of black paint? VERY good work. :2thumbs:

Thanks for your kind words Bigpoppa!

Done the way it should have been in the first place. Beautiful work, just stunning. Whoever was responsible for letting that car get out the way it looked before should be horsewhipped then fired. It's a Porsche not a Pinto for cryin' out loud.

WOW Bryan!

You even fixed this cars paint in the den of the adversary.........I bet you will be hearing from the dealer about other cars to fix in "his shop". That is almost like a kick in the jewels to them:woot:

Cheers,
