2006 Mercedes CLS500 Detail w/Menzerna
Well, after receiving my order friday I decided to tackle the CLS although I knew the temperature was against me. No, I don't have a garage....yet!
Saturday:
Lots of scratches and swirls...I can imagine what she would look like with halogens inside.
Saturday was 0830-1830hrs (Damn I ain't getting any younger!)
Sunday:
Sunday was 0830-1630
Total of 18 hours and the clear coat isn't like I wanted it!!!!
Anyways here are some pictures of todays work:
Bumper and Trunk after claying

Trunk After Polishing

Hood After Polishing...missed a small wipe off to the right

Trunk and Bumper after Application of FMJ

Drivers Door after Application of FMJ

Drivers Door Well and Interior. The Interior needs alot of work the leather seats look tired. For another day though
And a pic of the low miles

The vehicle exterior finished....for now!
Buddy I am gonna need you to clean up the clearcoat!

If you look close enough you can see my Bose in earbud wires going to my Itouch in my left pocket...listening to Tool; Laterlaus.

Well, just wanted to show my near apprentice level skills. Temperature and the PC were against me. Also, after polishing I noticed many more white/primer marks on the hood I have to wonder if they used something on the hood to coat them before I picked it up?
Ok, guys let me know your opinions...I am all ears.
I had to resize the pictures...10MP pics are way too large. T/G for Picture Resize genius
Well, after receiving my order friday I decided to tackle the CLS although I knew the temperature was against me. No, I don't have a garage....yet!
Saturday:
- Once the temperature rose I washed car with Menzerna car shampoo
- I clayed using BF clay. Hood, roof and trunk 3x's
- I think I finally got the claying on the third time just enough lubricant to allow the clay to glide but not too fluid.
- Washed tires, rims and wheel wells with Menzerna Tire and Rim Cleaner Gel
- Taped car
Lots of scratches and swirls...I can imagine what she would look like with halogens inside.

Sunday:
- With Buddy's suggestions I did a ISP wipe down
- I began polishing with PC/Green LC CSS pad and Menzerna 106FF
- Switched over to the orange css pad
- Hood, Trunk and Roof 2x's with 106FF. I struggled with the polish it wasn't moving too well because of the temperature being in the 40+'s.
- There were still some scratches to my eyes but that will be for a warmer day
- FMJ 1X
- Against my better judgement I did not perform a final polish with Menzerna FPII due time constraints and temperature issues with the 106FF. Honestly, my back, knees and legs were screaming!!!
- Eimann Black Saphire Tire Gel dressing
