This job took me to Wellington which is in Palm Beach Co. when a new client called me to take a look at his 2006 750Li.
He decided to keep it instead of buying the new generation 7 series. He did though, pick up a new 640 convertible for his wife when he brought her X5 in for service and fell in love with the lines of the new 6 series.
That one will be detailed this coming weekend.
He did keep it in pretty good condition after more than 5 years but he wanted that "wet look" as he put it.
There were some minor spots that had to be filled in with touch up paint, which he took care of before i got there.
Unfortunately he did not do such a good job, leaving some spots not properly filled in.
He stressed the fact that this was not a show car even though he wanted it to look like new.
He was not concerned with absolute perfection.
After multiple hours of polishing i think he got what he was looking for by the reaction i got upon him seeing the car.
One of the badly filled in spots
Some minor wet-sanding to flatten the touch up paint
Some more touched up spots
Deep scratch that was attempted to be removed with rubbing compound
