Well everyone its been a while since I've posted a click and brag...Just got back from school about 3 weeks ago and I've been doing the regular customers that I have in WPB...Got a few cars done already, 56 Chevy, 68 El Camino, did a Harley, a Buick Enclave, and I'm revisiting the Vette that I do every few months for a "full" detail this time around...
I decided to tackle the inside of the car, as well as doing the motor and giving it a wash to get it ready to be polished out next tuesday since the car will just be sitting for the time being.
The owner takes great care of the car, it isn't driven that much, and rarely sees the rain so I'm always happy to do this car. I'm finally starting to get my touch back, if you haven't done cars in a while its hard to get back into your routine and really nail down all the details, but so far I'm happy with what I've got done on the vette...
Started out washing the vehicle (GC) and used some Meg's APC 4:1 for the wells and then scrubbed with my brush, as well as using my Simple Green Foaming Can for the motor as well as a number of brushes to get into all the crevices. This was followed by a quick shot of armor all tire foam to the motor, then it was heated (started and allowed the foam to dry while I washed the rest of the car).
The wells were then dressed with HD 4:1, and the motor got wiped down with HD 2:1, then I followed up in the hood paint with some S&G and Poli Seal to help out the painted surfaces.
The interior got a thorough vacuum, spot treated with Meg's APC 10:1, Stoners IG on the Class, Meg's HD 4:1 for all interior panels, Meg's APC 4:1 for the carpets/mats where needed, and the Leather was cleaned with Lexol/conditioned with Pinnacle's Leather Conditioner
Door jambs were wiped down with my S&G and then polished out with CK Red Moose and then sealed with JW Acrylic Jett...Same process to all painted surfaces in/around trunk jambs.
Here are some pictures! The rest will be up sometime on tuesday when the car is fully done...
