2005 Geneva report - Carlack 68 goes nano

I came home from Geneva yesterday, where besides the cars there is a little taste of carcare. Although the stands are limited in space, usually one can make excellent impressions of the cars/products on display.

One exception was Carlack. Its stand was by far the most primitive I've ever seen. Three yellow walls, one table and the front of a 20 years old Mercedes-Benz 190E. No products on display! No info-material and no press kits.

However, on the walls, I could detect a little logo that suggests Nano-Tech. Can be delicious...

The rep was decently dressed in tan trousers, and a red, knitted pullover. His hair and teeth perfectly matched his trousers' shade, and he spoke with a warm, wine-turboed baritone.

My first question was the evergreen 'is Klasse the same...?'. To my surprise, he gave an extensive answer. According to this, Klasse have silicones and is more abrasive than CL68. The different (coarser) abrasives give AIO more cutting power.

But he was excited about the true news, the Nano-Tech Carlack 68. As I mentioned, he had NO product on hand (can you imagine that???), so I could not ask for a demo.

It is supposed to be more user-friendly, easier to remove, absolutely hologram-free, and the use of nano-particles result a much denser surface, more 'compressed' molecules. It is more scratch resistant and dirt repellent.

CL68NT has 1.000.000 cleaning molecules per cubic millimeter of the product. If so, the abrasives are so fine that the product itself can be called non-abrasive. The abrasion happens on micro-nano level, so it is practically nothing. The two products (yellow & blue; for cars & yachts) are virtually the same, while the blue one has more UV protection. This can be used on cars exactly as the yellow one.

That's it. I will tell you more after I can try them.

One thing before you begin to bash Carlack; we were in Geneva during the Press Days, and car care exhibitors are in neutral in this period. Almost no visitors, because people are too busy with the newcomers, debuts, press conferences, etc., so I can fully understand the poor preparation.

Bence- thanks for the information, look forward to your thoughts on the 'new & improved product.

About the only time I've ever seen/heard Car-Lack gve out information/samples was at their export launch in the '60s and later when they started to supply the US market (Klasse).
