Wow, what a long day. It was my first day off of work in about 4 months now, and what did I do, I detailed the truck I was driving from work... :nono
The truck is a 2005 Ford F250 with 300000 km on it. Needless to say it looked liked it had that kind of mileage. I had several things I needed to do to the truck:
-Install spray in bed liner.
-Pull the interior out and pressure wash everything
-Wetsand the entire exterior
I had done the first 2 items during my working hours over the last 2 days, and today I just wanted to be done with the truck. Being a truck from work, I never really thought of taking befores; I really should have.
Anyways! Onto the process:
For the bed liner I have been using a product called raptor liner. Its a thin flexible coating which works pretty good. Cost to me is $125 per application and I sell them for $400. Time is normally 2-3 hours depending on how dirty the bed was previously.
The the interior took a little bit more time, around 8-9 hours. Removed all the seats and door panels, as well as the carpets. Thoroughly pressurewashed everything and allowed a full day to dry under my industrial airmovers. Afterwards the entire interior was reassembled and dressed with natural look dressing.
Exterior was definatly the major hitter in the operation. I spend about 18-20 hours on the exterior.
-Foam gunned it
-Clayed lower panels
-Wetsanded entire truck with 2500 grit and 1500 in random areas.
-XP Compound on a wool pad
-SIP on cutting pad
-Ultrafina on polishing pad
-Awesome Gloss as a topper
-Dress it right on the tires, but I drove it right after application so they aren't very shiny.
Total time on the truck is around 30-40 hours depending on the misc stuff I did. The boss purchased the vehicle for $12734 landed and I charged $1250 for everything I listed. Safety was anouther grand bringing the total to something like $15000. So overall I charged him 2250, and he is listing the vehicle for $21000. Quite the profit.
Onto the pictures.
And here is the box liner. Its sadly dirty from the snow last night, but hey, gives you an idea.
