The DD's 2011 Spring detail.

Process

Prep:

ONR wash

Clay (Sonus Green with ONR at clay lube dilution)

Polish (via PC 7424 XP):

M105 (Uber Orange Pad) as needed

Menzerna P106FA (Uber White Pad)

Menzerna PO87MC (Uber Blue Pad)

ONR Wash

Menzerna Final Inspection Application

Sealant:

Menzerna Power Lock (Uber Black Pad) x 2 - back to back to ensure full coverage

Wax (applied 18 hours after sealant application):

Chemical Guys Pete's 53 (by hand via CG Red Pad) x 2 - back to back to ensure full coverage

Engine Bay:

P21S TAW

CD2

Wheels:

FK1000P (x 4 on the fronts and x 2 on the rears)

Tires:

Optimum Opt-Bond Tire Gel

NOTES:

I guess I may be getting halfway decent at properly washing my DD as there were no major swirls and I couldn't capture the micro marring on film. Plus I only used 1 piece of clay on the entire vehicle.

This time I removed the side guards, kidneys and side grills which allowed to me to properly hit those edges.

Not the best day for after pix (spotty sunshine), but overall I'm thrilled with the end result.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent job! I love those wheels. Carbon black is it?

Thanks!

Those are BMW OEM ZCP wheels and it is Carbon Black ;). Wish I had better close-up pix after I laid down the Pete's 53 on Easter Sunday morning, but I was on a tight time line so wasn't able to take proper pix. Next time around ;).

Hey, I know this dude :cooleek: good to see you posting here @ Autopia. Your car looks fantastic :rockon1:
