I did this detail for one of my best buds. He recently purchased this car with only 30,000 miles on it but from the before pictures you will be able to tell that the paint has had a rough life so far. The initial befores in the sunlight were taken back in July when the car was purchased the detail was performed at the end of September and the after pictures were about 3-4 weeks after that.

Tools:

Flex 3401

Dual Halogens

Brinkmann

Universal pad washer

UDM

Various Brushes

Nikon D40

Product/Process:

Two-bucket method

Wash using DP Auto-bath and SchMitt

Meguiars Blue clay

WW drying towels

Megs super degreaser on tires and wheel wells

Hyperdressing on tires and wheel wells.

Megs 105 on White CCS @ speed 6 (paint was quite soft and this was amazing how well it finished down.)

3M Ultrafina on Black CCS @ speed 4-5

Pinnacle Souveran on Red CCS @ speed 2 on UDM

This picture shows many buffer trails from someone using machine/chemical improperly.

Thanks for looking!!

wow, your friend must be thrilled! let him know if it gets back to the condition it was at, you'll have to charge him double LOL... :D good job :up

Very nice correction! Just a quick note of constructive criticism however, make sure to buff the excess tire shine into the tire or you'll end up with a lot of sling on the side of a pristine car!

I let the hyperdressing dwell for about 10-15 min then run a applicator over it to remove the excess.

That is one of the worst swirled newer cars I have ever seen. I love those garage shots they make the paint look great

I'm a Ford guy personally but I always did admire those style of Monte Carlo's

Gorgeous transformation!! :xyxthumbs
