2005 Black Mercedes S55: Scratches and swirls

I have a friend who just bought his new car. After a month or so, one of his boys washed the car and somehow, he scratched the dickens out of it. There are a few rather large scratches in the hood, but I think these and a few others might require wet sanding or painted.



The car has two issues: 1.) the swirl marks and 2.) the scratches. What would you recommend regarding each? I have a PC and know how to use it pretty well.



I have used the K-Twins with S-100 or Sauv. (when I have it). The car is washed every week and I am trying to get him to get it waxed every 4-6 weeks since it sits outside all day.

Depends. For black, my usual go to polish is the Optimum series. Without pics, we cannot really judge what type of polish/pad to use

My thought was to use the LakeC. ORANGE pad. I would like to try and get a digital pic. of the car and post it, but seeing as how my dog climbed up on the counter and ate literally destroyed my camera...my very next purchse will be a new digital camera haha.
