I spent all day saturday shining the ride and this is how it came out.

I used a mix of 75% Optimum compound and 25% Optimum polish in a squeeze bottle. Worked ok on the swirls but the deeper imperfections just laughed. Ill try to take those out when I have a better assortment of pads. I then used regular nattys and spit shined with OCW. Turned out pretty good and has definite flake pop. Also detailed the engine and the interior but no pics. Enjoy. :howdy

Looking really good! Did you use a PC or a rotary and what pads? I like the idea of the mix- With the rotary I love OP but with hyper compound it seems harder to wrok with. Maybe with the polish mixed will let the OHC work better. Love the last flake shot too!
 
I used a PC but I have a rotary which I plan to use on the older car first. Which may help my situation with the deeper imperfections. I also have a question using the rotary, what do you do with harder areas like front bumpers and the like do you just use the pc for the hard to reach areas where the rotary will not get? Thanks for commenting.

You have a few options for the bumper/hard to reach areas:

-Use the lowest speed setting on your rotary.
-Use a PC for these areas
-Do it by hand if neither machine can fit into the tight spots.
 
Great job on the detail! You're definately right about how the flake has a nice pop to it.
