2004 Phatom Grey Camry

This is my roommate's 2004 Camry. It has been washed and maintain by me since day one. It's been a year since I last detailed this car so the paint was rough. When I clayed it, it felt like I was sanding the car. The trunk and the rear bumper were the worst. Luckily since I'm the only one that washes the car, it didn't have any deep swirls just a little micromarring that you would expect from regular washings.

Process:

Washed with Meguiar's NXT using two buckets

Clayed with Mother's claybar

Polished with Meguiar's #80 speed glaze via PC @ 5

4 star ultimate paint cleaner

4 star ultimate paint protection

Nice Work Very Liquid Shimmer

USE PINNACLE SOUVREAN AFTAR NEXT WASH .... I LOVE THIS COLOR :xyxthumbs

Yeah, thats a pretty nice color, wish they would have kept the graphite grey pearl though. We had an IS300 with the Graphite Grey and the flakes were very big and coarse. The phantom grey is very fine, smooth looking color, which I find is somewhat easy to mute with some carnaubas. Good looking with the UPP.

Looks good, we currently have an 03 XLE in Lunar Mist now.

Thanks for the compliment guys. I'll definitely get those wheelwells next time. I try to break my detailing up over several weeks to keep myself excited about detailing instead of staying outside for 10 hrs. Next week, I'll put on another coat of UPP, clean wheelwells, clean and dress interior. I don't think I'll put on a carnuba with UPP. I don't have any Souveran but do have some #16. When I tried to top UPP, the paint seemed to lose that pop without improving the wetness. This on the camry and my liquid silver Celica. I've never tried it with a red or black car though.
