2004 caddy

i had a older woman ask me about detailing her 2004 pearl white caddy, but she said that the dealership where she bought the car said not to polish or wax it because it would damage the paint..
Has anyone heard of this yet, i guess they told her to only wash and dry it????

It's a dealership... what do you expect??

Wax can not hurt the paint... AT ALL. How can something that helps the paint hurt it?? Polishing can damage the paint if you use to strong of an abrasive or don't know how to use the machine you are working on. But the polishes availible through this site and sponsors will be a o k on paint.

I'm curious if she bought the 5 year sealant package that only the dealer can re-apply for maitenance. It's all a hoax. They just want to keep her $$ there if this is the case.

I did an envoy and the guy said the same thing, after some digging and even calling the dealertship they mean dont use the wax at a coin wash. I odnt know why but they said not to use it. They told me it was "OK" to hand wax it like i was a newb lo. But ya if she wants it detailed then you need to wax it
