2003 Subaru WRX Detail

Detail time!
After 7+ hours my Uncle's 2003 WRX is finished. :jump The paint rally didn't have much gloss, was covered in tar, and was really swirled. Well I didn't try to get a perfect finish so don't mind the swirls that are left. I love this color. The whole front end is pitted along with the windshield. The headlights were really bad so I decided to take some 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper to it. I wetsanded, SSR3ed, SSR2, and some PP to get it to where they are now. The foglamps will have to be removed and polished out to get them 100% later on down the road. He is getting new tires in a few weeks so he didn't want anything crazy on there either.

Process:
Wash
Stoners Tarminator on Tar Spots
Clay
SSR2 (cutting pad PC on 5)
Mothers PowerPolish Stage 1 (polishing pad PC 5)
ExP (finishing PC 4)

Next up are the tire /wheels, interior and the headlights.

Tires and wheels were washed and cleaned with Simple Green and ArmorAll wheel cleaner. There were loads of breakdust and not all came off even after I used Poorboys ProPolish. But they do look a lot better than before.

The interior got some Megs #40, Woolite mix and some Invisible Glass. There weren't any major issues in here so no need for specifics.

The headlighs (as stated above) were wet sanded and polished clean.

Ok after this I am done with the pics. I just love this car and why not show it off to the city? :bigups

The engine was hosed off, sprayed with simple green, brushed clean and then rinsed. The plastics got a shot of 'No Touch Tire Gloss'. I've used it on engines before and the resuslts last! Not so great on tires but workes great on engines!

Thanks guys. If you haven't tried the Mother's PowerPolish I would recommend trying it out. It is very unique... it is like a liquid but once it is worked a little it begins polishing. I don't know if it has any fillers but it did a realy nice job with the swirls.
