Originally met the owner of this 2003 Subaru Outback a few years ago, he kept my contact information and called me a couple weeks ago about his 2003 Subaru Outback. We met up so I could look it over, noticed a plethora of swirls and a general haziness to the paint. He'd never had a car detailed before so he asked me to do what I could with one polishing step.
Even without the sun you can see the swirls and haze, this is after an ONR wash and Optimum grey Opti-Raser
The paint was similar to Honda's Nighthawk Pear;, which is not only soft, but on the sticky side. Most polishes try to weld themselves to the paint making them extremely difficult to remove. Usually I go with Meguiars #205 but figured I'd give 3D HD Polish a try since it has more cut.
3D HD Polish using an Optimum microfiber polishing pad and my PC:
The paint was sealed with Optimum Opti-Seal, tires/fenderwells dressed with Armor All
