2003 Mercury Marauder (Wetsanded and buffed)

I've wetsanded the entire car, and buffed on it. My process in short:

Wetsand: MeGuiar's 2000 Grit

PoorBoy's SSR3 (in few problematic areas)

PoorBoy's SSR2.5 with cutting polishing pad

PoorBoy's SSR1 with finishing pad

Two layers of Collinite #845 (24hr sep)

MANY hours have gone into making my car's paint look like this (including weeks of wetsanding and buffing). Please enjoy!

This is a picture of my passenger side door, the reflection :)

And here's a picture of it outside...

Looks very nice for the little bit that's shown in the pictures. Post up some full shots in the sun and different angles for all to enjoy. :waxing:

I'd post more pics, but he clouds have rolled in. Isn't going to get much better than the pics I posted already. I will have more pics later though.

Wow, that's black done right. Usually I can pick out reflection shots because the background is blurry, but I almost thought that first one was a fraud until I saw the second. Truly amazing.

I had video posted of the reflections, but it was bogging down my server. If anyone's interested, PM me and I can send you the link. They're kind of cool to look at :)

Excellent work on that Marauder! :bow

Very nice work on one of my favorite cars (too bad Merc didn't put the blown Cobra motor in that big sedan).

I do a lot of wetsanding on black BMW's and it's tedious, but the results are remarkable when done correctly.

Looks super Sir!

Thanks for the kind words Scott - that's a real compliment coming from you! I'll update my pictures up above with larger ones - now that I have them on my pro flickr account. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes. Mercury should've made them with the supercharger on it. But that's ok - I put one on it myself. Its runs beautifully, and I get about 17-19 MPG mixed highway and city. Not bad for a 'vette eating daily driver. :sign

And thank you for your comments.
